After ending "Athena" Pete played some tunes of "Love Ain't For Keeping", saying they'd like to play it, "but the rest of the band can't remember it". Changed the venue to Oakland Arena (with thanks to Kevin Collins).

Small detail- this show was at the Oakland Arena, now known as the Oracle Arena. The full official name at the time was "Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena", but we all just called it the Oakland Coliseum Arena. The Oakland Coliseum is the outdoor baseball/football stadium in the same complex.

I was at this show, waited about 20 hours in the dreary weather in sleeping bags to get in the front of the stage. (Mission accomplished, right in front of Entwistle.) I remember Townshend was unhappy with the tuning of his Schecter Telecaster at one point, trying to hear himself tune it while the others played. Then he got angry and shoved the headstock into an amplifier, ruining it (presumably until fixed later) and a roadie handed him another.

They were on fire that night.
