I have no idea what the play list was, but it was similar to the Filmore concerts, as best I can recollect. The warmup band was pretty unknown at that time. I don't think their first album was even out yet, and they sounded like they hadn't played together much. It was Led Zepplin.

I saw this show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion when I was 14. It was one of Zeppelin's first U.S. dates and their first LP had just come out. (In fact the promoter misspelled the group's name "Lead Zeppelin" on the tickets.)

As I recall they did a great opening set but by that time the Who were seasoned veterans and they just completely blew everyone away. They performed most of "Tommy" live. Drumsticks and fragments of drumsticks were flying out into the audience and when they went into "Magic Bus", their final number, the place erupted.

Townshend ended the show by breaking his SG over his head! A completely cathartic and life changing experience for me! Thank you for that.
