The Who were the headliners of the evening. Support band: The Silence (w/Dale Griffin and Pete Watts, later of Mott The Hoople). Justin Purington reports, that he has a copy of The Silence's diary of dates and booking fees, so this seems to be a definite date. Dale remembers playing Keith Moon's Ludwig kit and that Robert Fisher blew up the amp he was using (the Who's). He also says Pete Watts sat on the neck of Pete Townsend's guitar and broke it.
