At this concert The Who was the opening act for The Herman's Hermits (not vice versa), which seems funny now. This was the first concert I ever went to, so I remember this well. I was not quite 13 and going with my older sister and our girlfriends to hear The Herman's Hermits. I don't think I'd even heard of The Who, but I recognized their hit "I Can See For Miles" when they played it. We were completely surprised and amazed when they smashed up their instruments in their finale. The arena was called the Honolulu International Center or HIC for short. In searching for this concert on the Internet, I notice that The Herman's Hermits were the headliner, with The Who listed as a special guest on a handbill for another 1967 US tour.
